What is Not Forsaken Ministries?
I initially came up with the idea of Not Forsaken Ministries while I was attending seminary at Liberty University. Although I have grown up in church my entire life and have been a Christian since age nine, I realized that many American churches do not properly equip people to be disciples or to understand much of their Bible. This was true in my own life, and I did not realize it until I began seminary at the age of 44.
Many Christians today have questions about the Bible or Christianity that they are too afraid of asking in their church or even have doubts about whether Christianity is true. My hope is that the Lord will use this ministry to help answer questions people have about living as a Christian in this fallen world. Currently, this ministry is built around a blog, but soon, this ministry will be launching a podcast and YouTube channel. The overall goal of Not Forsaken Ministries is to help you as a Christian overcome doubts or answer questions about your beliefs and help you grow in your walk with Jesus.
Although it might seem as though God does not care about this world, nothing could be further from the truth. He has a plan, and He will not fail. When it seems as though He has turned His back on us, we must remember what Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies." (NRSV).
My prayer is that you will see that God is continuing to work in the lives of Christians everywhere and that all hope is not lost.
